Our Story
Family-owned and operated in the heart of Montana since 2018
A Little Cafe with a Big Heart
“There was a little cafe here in town that was downtown that I really liked a lot and so we wanted to start a little cafe.”
That simple idea became 406 Cafe, a family-owned breakfast and lunch spot at 109 W. Main St in downtown Lewistown, Montana. Lewistown sits at the geographic center of the state, surrounded by mountain ranges and wide-open prairie. Since 2018, the cafe has been a gathering place for locals and travelers alike.
Everything on the menu is made from scratch using fresh ingredients. The kitchen turns out homestyle breakfast classics alongside lunch favorites: fresh salads, burgers, Man Dogs, chili, sandwiches, signature beverages, and housemade desserts. It is an inviting coffee shop atmosphere where good food and friendly faces go hand in hand.
What keeps people coming back is straightforward: honest cooking, generous portions, and the kind of warmth you only find in a place where the owners know your name.
